Job Purpose

Jobs at this level are responsible for effectively supervising STC’s low budget and/or low risk non – technical projects with respect to time and project schedules. Also, they may be expected to coordinate and perform administrative tasks for medium/high budget and/or medium/high risk projects.

Job Responsibility

    Perform routine activities within the specified scope.
    Coordinate with seniors and understands the goals, plans and budgets involved for each assigned project, to ensure implementation of assigned tasks within the budget.
    Compile and analyses data related to project activities and develops standard reports, highlighting bottlenecks in the project implementation to seniors.
    Monitor performance of internal and external contractors, ensuring the documented scope of work is executed and all relevant procedures are followed.
    Participate in assessing the health of select running projects against schedules, budgets and objectives, reporting status to immediate seniors on a regular basis and highlighting variations from schedule or budget, if any.
    Support in implementation of new outlets, refurbishing existing outlets including logistical/technical requirements (in coordination with procurement) to ensure all requirements are met to activate the outlet.
    Support in identifying project scope changes and in planning changes, as guided by   senior manager.
    Participate in performing cost - benefit analysis of future projects and communicates relevant statistics to seniors managers.
    Ensure all the projects assigned implemented in compliance with all relevant project management standards, established policies and standard operating procedures.
    Support in identifying risks affecting assigned STC projects and seeks support in developing assessment and mitigation strategies, from a project management point of view. 
    Perform routine tasks related to STC’s high budget and/or high risk projects, under the guidance of immediate senior.
    Participate in the preparation of standard project management templates to be used across various project phases and forwards the same to immediate senior, for review and approval.
    Support in the development of guidelines for application and use of automated project management tools.
    Participate in specific internal projects aimed at improving operational efficiencies in the project management processes.
    Participate in periodic audits to inspect STC’s projects from a project management point of view and reports audit results to relevant departments for articulating effective action plans.
    Analyse best practices in the field of project management and assists in effectively implementing these in STC, in order to optimize the entire project management life cycle.
    Resolve routine queries related to project management standards, templates, and acts as a first point of contact for resolution/clarification of any issues.
    Collate all approved technical reports relevant to General Project Management, to ensure ease of access, when required.
    Help with routine work and escalates issues, as necessary.
    Liaise within the assigned team to build effective working relationships.
