Job Purpose

 

The role holder is responsible for AI & Digital Solutions including the design, development, deployment, and management of products and digital platforms (CBU, EBU, Jawwy, WBU). And ensure business demand fulfillment, and oversee system rollouts, technical support, risk management, operational standards, incident management, and digital transformation, drive reliability, oversee asset management, and support AI and analytics projects. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

 

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the design, development, deployment and management of products (CBU, EBU, Jawwy, WBU) and digital platforms under the Sector
  • Ensure fulfillment of business demand originated from Business Units at acceptable level in coordination with other Sectors, acting as central demand management function, except for Network roll out and expansion
  • Participate in the development of organization strategy & contribute to the process of management & corporate decision making with Executive Team
  • Direct and manage the Sector functions, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards
  • Implement the transition plan for the new organization structure along with ensuring the selection of right people, technologies and implementation of new processes
  • Champion and lead change in the Sector providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Sector
  • Direct and guide the development of an effective and cost-efficient Sector strategy and roadmap to support stc Sectors
  • Work collaboratively with the other Sectors to develop and maintain an integrated business and platforms strategy that clearly identifies timescales, effort & costs
  • Direct and facilitate the roll out of new systems and technologies required by the Sectors
  • Ensure timely delivery of services and technical support in accordance with the overall business strategy of the organization
  • Ensure acceptable technical environments and operational standards for systems under the responsibility of the Sector
  • Manage sector risks and participate with stc Executive Management in the overall risk management for the organization
  • Oversee the alignment of teams’ objectives with strategic goals and budget allocation during the QBR process
  • Direct financial budgeting and investment planning for the Sector in line with established objectives and overall strategy of the organization

Job Responsibility (cont.)

  • Control budget allocation (CAPEX and OPEX) as per approved budget
  • Ensure operational governance over subsidiary by managing Master SLA contracts, ensuring consistency and risk management
  • Oversee E2E operation of Jawwy and WBU products, including incident, problem and quality management, bug fixing, upgrades and back-ups management, disaster recovery, administration
  • Govern the digital transformation for AI & Digital Solutions and products
  • Plan, design, and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to meet risk management requirements
  • Govern the performance (as per SOW of MSP contracts) of the various services and products across all Sectors including IOT2
  • Direct the Sector Tribe Alliances to ensure compliance with all relevant quality management procedures and controls across various project and systems, to guarantee compliance and delivery of high quality products/service as per SLAs
  • Direct implementation of continuous improvements in existing platforms to achieve higher productivity and efficiency for internal and external users
  • Ensures all systems and processes related to operations are functioning seamlessly and are integrated with other related units, drives operational reliability in the system by introducing new tools and techniques.
  • Oversee asset management process and ensure alignment with TS&A, incl. roadmap development, deployment, maintenance, and disposal
  • Oversee the demand and supply of data are met across the Company and based on priorities
  • Ensure data access management, data quality assurance, and other data management functions are implemented according to data governance guidelines
  • Ensure the technological features and functions are in place to deliver the insights needed for evolving business needs
  • Oversee the definition of cross-sector and strategic analytics project, related to Top Management analysis requests
  • Oversee cross-functional AI & Analytics solutions development that support decision coordination among related BUs and FUs
  • Collaborate with Business to identify and evaluate data monetization opportunities, leveraging STC insights generation capabilities to develop and market valuable products for third parties
  • Additional mandates Crisis Management Team from decree #78:
  • Evaluate emergency situations that are raised by the concerned units within stc framework and follow up on the implementation of preparedness plans for each case, and to direct the development of any necessary plans in case not existed
  • Raise emergency and crisis situations when they occur to GCEO to obtain his approval to declare the state of emergency, and notify the Risk Management Committee accordingly
  • Follow up on the implementation of Emergency Plans and Crisis Management plans – Pre-determined- through the concerned teams, and to evaluate the situation continuously and reports directly to the GCEO until normal operation is recovered and announce the end of the crisis as per approved organization framework
  • Conduct usual/emergency meetings in the presence of the members whom selected by the team leader for each operational team based on the team leader’s assessment of the situation

 

Years of Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 - 4 years of experience in a similar role.

 

Nature of Experience

  • Experience in AI development, data monetization, and partnership preferably within telecommunications or technology industry.
