Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for overseeing and executing accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management, to ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and Specialized’s. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports closing and audit activities, and contributes to strengthening compliance and transparency. The role holder shall carry out duties in accordance with approved business policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the application of accounting policies and procedures to ensure strict compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and stc Group guidelines.
- Review and validate complex bookkeeping and accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage and monitor accounts payable and receivable cycles, driving timely settlement, reconciliation, and adherence to financial controls.
- Ensure and safeguard the integrity of the general ledger, acting as the authoritative source for financial reporting.
- Evaluate and apply proper accounting treatment for assets, expenditures (CAPEX/OPEX), and depreciation, ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Prepare and analyze detailed reports, schedules, and documentation to support the preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions and balances, providing root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Support and facilitate internal and external audit activities by providing validated data, addressing inquiries, and ensuring audit readiness.
- Collaborate and advise with financial control units and cross-functional teams to strengthen compliance, enhance transparency, and improve reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Years of Experience:
- Preferred experience of (3 - 6) years, or equivalent in the area of expertise
