Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for managing the demand for IT External Partner Platforms, leading the design, development, and modernization of scalable, modular systems that prioritize user experience and seamless integration across the organization. The role also involves driving the adoption of Agile and DevOps practices, ensuring platform quality through rigorous testing, and aligning platform development with enterprise architecture guidelines to support scalability, security, and efficiency. The role holder shall carry out their duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the central point for managing demand for External Partner Platforms
  • Lead the design and building of scalable platforms, emphasizing modular structure, stability and reusability across the organization
  • Lead the decoupling and modernization of monolithic platform systems, following API-first principles
  • Ensure consistent utilization of Agile methodologies to rapidly design, develop, and iterate on platform delivery
  • Adopt an 'as a service' mindset, treating platforms as products provided to product teams – deliver user-friendly platform capabilities and prioritize user experience and support to enable seamless integration and utilization by product teams
  • Oversee the delivery of tribe backlog until completion, ensuring that increments of value are delivered by squads and knowledge is disseminated through the tribe

 

Job Responsibility (cont.)

  • Oversee staffing of the tribe and make decisions to reconcile staffing of local chapter members and business delivery (squads) priorities
  • Lead implementation of rigorous testing frameworks and validation protocols, including automated testing, to ensure the quality and performance of External Partner Platforms, while monitoring their utilization for insights into further enhancements
  • Implement and suggest continuous improvement of Agile processes across the tribe for managing the demand pipeline, ensuring responsiveness and adaptability in the development workflow

Years of Experience

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 - 4 years of experience in a similar role.

Nature of Experience

Experience in managing the development and modernization of platforms preferably within a technology or telecom industry.
