Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and compliance. Leads control frameworks and

drives continuous process improvements. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with stipulated business policies and

procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Validate funding requests by checking compliance with approved budgets, applying financial controls, and confirming documentation accuracy before committing funds.

-Assess expense documentation to confirm account classification, apply control measures, and support accurate posting in the financial system.

-Facilitate the collection and validation of Specialized’s financial records and supporting documents requested by external auditors, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with audit requirements.

-Implement financial control procedures by applying existing policies in daily financial transactions, identifying control weaknesses, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure alignment with risk and compliance requirements.

- Conduct regular checks on financial transactions to detect risk indicators, apply corrective actions immediately, and ensure all financial activities comply with policies and prevent fraud or misstatements.

-Initiate and follow through on routine financial control activities in Specialized to evaluate compliance with internal procedures, detect control failures, and apply corrective measures in coordination with concerned teams.

-Compare actual spending to approved budgets by reviewing cost reports, flagging budget overruns, and coordinating with departments to resolve any financial deviations.

-Resolve financial discrepancies in Specialized by performing detailed accounting reviews, identifying root causes, and documenting outcomes to support corrective action and strengthen financial integrity.

-Execute Specialized’s tax compliance activities by preparing required documentation, ensuring timely submission of tax obligations, and applying approved strategies to reduce tax exposure within regulatory limits.

-Handle internal tax assessments in Specialized’s by validating calculations, matching results with filed tax reports, and initiating adjustments when discrepancies are found.

-Handle Specialized’s recurring tax submission processes, including withholding tax, by verifying financial data, compiling supporting documents, and ensuring timely submission in line with regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

 

Years of Experience:

  • Preferred experience of (7+) years, or equivalent in the area of expertise
