Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for executing design circuit work orders, including high-level mapping, port allocation, and synchronization records for new facilities. The role holder also ensures the review and approval of Fiber Design Engineering Documents and Methods of Procedures, driving network optimization and technology migration. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure

 

Job Responsibility

  • Manage design circuit work orders, conduct high-level circuit mapping/routing, allocate circuit termination ports, and manage synchronization sources and records for new facilities
  • Review and approve Fiber Design Engineering Documents (FDED) and Methods of Procedures (MoPs), providing technical support and driving network optimization and new technology migrations
  • Prepare, evaluate RFPs, select necessary equipment, and maintain the DWDM and SDH network equipment database through site and Fiber Optic Assignment (FOA) allocations
  • Develop Set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with stc tools teams, migrate FOA issuance to Network Fiber Tracking System (NFTS), and ensure all Multi-Department Transmissions (MDTs) are approved
  • Ensure addressing redundancy solutions, conduct fiber network surveys, quality checks on Fiber Jointing Schematics (FJS), and provide mobile backhauling solutions for non-GPON sites
  • Evaluate performance-related network reliability (PRNR), design the transport network aligning with deployment plans, conduct site and path surveys, and select new sites
  • Review Line of Sight (LOS), manage Civil Confirmation (TCC) documents, perform frequency planning, and define the scope of work for microwave design and satellite transport plans

  • Ensure Proper integrated design for Fixed and Transport with Core.
  • Manage Mapping and designing Circuit Work Orders (CWO) expansions with as-built information if required
  • Conduct Granite –Xng data consistency check with transmission management systems
  • Ensure Updating requests’ workflow using TFS for proper tracking and monitoring
  • Develop alternative routing for blocked VIP requests for the swift activation of services
  • Evaluate migration plans / MOPS and perform re-mapping and designing of affected circuits
  • Conduct transmission technical support to other groups, and perform data clean-up with reference to the disconnection CWOs implemented
  • Facilitate with Infrastructure Design for proper utilization of facilities
  • Evaluate the service request for other physical interfaces needed, and study and provide routing for requests utilizing DWDM facilities
  • Facilitate with Tx-PC, TNOC, Transport mapping for BI closure, and support (WNI, EBU, wholesale, etc.) with BI updates
  • Manage low level design for installation, modification, relocation and recovery of transmission and switching equipment's for all STC sites
  • Ensure resolving the problems related to the completion of low-level design
  • Develop MOP designing in NE Tool, MOP submitting/approval process in NTFS, and PAT process through NPTS
  • Manage low level design for installation of Tie Cable (Electrical/ Optical)
  • Manage vendor relations, optimize transport networks, handle site re-routing and re-homing, and prepare Transport Service Descriptions (TSDs) for new IP/MPLS requests
  • Ensure acquisition of assets is aligned with strategy
  • Manage organizing inventory, including creating and reviewing MIC, creating and maintaining location code, RFC registration, managing change orders, changing review and closure, and classifying critical assets
  • Conduct High-Level Design (HLD) requirements for IP/MPLS networks, manage international carrier and Operator-Led Organizations (OLOs) interconnections, and design IP/MPLS, Ethernet, ATM, and BRAS networks
  • Develop Statements of Work (SoW) for IP/MPLS network expansions and upgrades, conduct trials for new data network products, provide data network standards, and ensure comprehensive technical support
