Job Purpose
Jobs at this level are responsible for managing activities in stc’s low budget and/or low risk non-technical projects, with respect to time and schedule. Also, they are responsible for participating in stc’s medium budget and/or medium risk non-technical projects, as guided by immediate seniors.
Job Responsibility
- Manage low budget and/or low risk projects and initiatives, in compliance with established project management policies and procedures.
- Participate in articulating comprehensive project plans for stc’s low budget and/or low risk projects and develops project management processes of assigned non - technical projects.
- Review data related to project activities and highlights any trends/bottlenecks in the project to seniors, also participating in developing requisite action plans.
- Monitor performance of external consulting firms and updates seniors on the progress of project work undertaken by these firms.
- Participate in assessing the health of select running projects against schedules, budgets and objectives, reporting status to immediate seniors on a regular basis and highlighting variations from schedule or budget, if any.
- Participate in identifying changes in project scope and assists in planning changes, as guided by seniors.
- Supervise cost-benefit analysis of future projects and communicates relevant statistics to seniors and relevant Sectors, in order to articulate effective action plans to optimize project profitability.
- Coordinate and networks extensively with key stakeholders internally and externally, in order to ensure buy - in and involvement for achieving the objectives of assigned stcprojects.
Job Responsibility (cont.)
- Participate in stc’s medium budget and/or medium risk projects, under the guidance of immediate senior.
- Manage the preparation of standard project management templates to be used across various project phases and forwards these to immediate seniors managers.
- Participate in specific internal projects aimed at improving operational efficiencies in the project management processes.
- Participate in analysing the best practices in the field of project management and assists in effectively implementing these in stc, in order to optimize the entire project management life cycle.
- Resolve escalated queries related to project management standards and templates, in compliance with best practices.
- Ensure collation of all approved technical reports relevant to General Project Management, to ensure ease of access, when required.
- Liaise with other stakeholders to build effective working relationships and identifies synergies.
- Ensure all the projects assigned implemented in compliance with all relevant project management standards, established policies and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in identifying risks affecting stc’s assigned non - technical projects and participates in articulating effective mitigation strategies to address identified risks, in compliance with established standards and best practices.
