Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for providing legal consultation and ensuring robust governance practices across the organization. This involves identifying and mitigating regulatory risks, managing legal proceedings, reviewing contractual agreements, and developing comprehensive governance frameworks to ensure compliance and protect the organization's interests. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
• Support the identification of governance-related risks and lead the delivery of required regulatory findings and updates.
• Provide proactive and effective legal support for litigation and corporate law matters, safeguarding organizational interests.
• Drive the investigation of frauds, violations, and objections, authorizing necessary submissions to regulatory bodies to protect the organization's rights.
• Ensure legal agreements across all functions (e.g., procurement, HR, IT) comply with local laws and regulations.
• Review and correct all contractual agreements before their execution by stakeholders and external parties.
• Manage all legal cases, ensuring evidence, documents, and legal measures are meticulously prepared and presented.
• Manage the development and improvement of the organization's governance frameworks based on approved goals, structure, and roles.
• Design the organization's authority management structure and oversee the development of operational authorities across business units.
• Manage the development of the organization's documentation governance for effective and consistent information management.
• Draft and update all corporate policies and procedures, acting as a central source of truth for effective centralized control.
• Manage the alignment and compatibility of corporate governance practices with relevant regulatory bodies for compliance.
• Circulate legal updates and mandates to concerned stakeholders, ensuring required actions are executed and followed up.
• Manage the overall risk management planning and execution in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or equivalent
Years of Experience:
- Preferred experience of (4 - 6) years, or equivalent in the area of expertise
Preferred Professional Certificates:
• Chartered Governance Professional (CGP)
• Legal Risk Management Certification
