Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for preparing RF designs for expansions and new setups across various technologies, evaluating mobile sites selection, and ensuring integrated designs for Mobility and Fixed Services. Developing technical specifications, managing tender documents, and conducting technical evaluations, overseeing design guidelines. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure

 

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare RF Design for expansions, modernization and new setups for GSM, LTE, 5G, Tetra and other future technologies for access sites (including COWs) and IBS
  • Develop new sites candidates' evaluation and mobile sites selection
  • Ensure integrated design for Mobility Services and Fixed Services
  • Prepare tender technical documents, development of technical specifications and conduct technical evaluation of vendors’ solutions for Mobility Services and IBS projects
  • Develop Scope of Work for Mobility Services elements and IBS
  • Review and approve Method of Procedure (MOP) for RF scopes
  • Create design guidelines and acceptance criteria tailored for various technologies to ensure Mobility Services quality and IBS quality
  • Recommend technical support to address radio design-related inquiries and issues
  • Evaluate new mobile and IBS technologies and features and conduct technical trials and Proof of Concepts (PoC)
  • Evaluate asset-dismantling reports and provide evaluation for radio assets usability
  • Conduct Analysis for Mobile network requirements, prioritize project scope sites, and prepare Nominal Cell Plan (NCP)
  • Support feasibility of national roaming requests, prepare design to activate national roaming in stc feasible sites and define stc demand from other local operators offered sites
    • Manage device testing and certification for CST, oversee the new device testing lab, and support type approval activities for business units
    • Collaborate with Operations and Device vendors to resolve performance issues efficiently
    • Ensure acquisition of assets is aligned with strategy

  • Manage inventory organizing, including creating and reviewing MIC, creating and maintaining location code, RFC registration, managing change orders, changing review and closure, and classifying critical assets

 

Job Responsibility (cont.)

  • Create predictions heat maps for various technologies for internal and external requirements
  • Evaluate operations raised requests for new coverage, additional capacity and antenna modification
  • Conduct  Investigation and propose improvements for major and chronic failures, including issues related to design change (including optimization activities), configuration design change, network expansion, interoperability/Inter-Connect test, new feature optimization
  • Conduct testing and reviewing software and hardware upgrades to assess impacts on the current network and services
  • Validate RF design after implementation to ensure that design objectives are met as planned
  • Ensure that Infrastructure Mobility Services and IBS Design adheres to CST and international standards and guidelines, maintaining compliance throughout the design process
  • Ensure Mobility Services and IBS data accuracy by maintaining control, and management and interfacing with other domains and systems
  • Evaluate the impact of new Mobility Services technologies on existing systems and collaborate with other domains teams for necessary upgrades to support broader network deployments
  • Ensure consistent management of Enhanced SW model deliverables for RAN ESM scope
  • Determine updates and manage vendor issues, ensuring stakeholders are informed about the ESM program's deliverables and values
  • Ensure Radio database update and parameters planning and optimization
