Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for ensuring Specialized’s compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, providing legal oversight across contracts, corporate matters, and strategic transactions, and managing disputes, litigation, and external counsel to safeguard the company’s interests. The role also acts as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, monitors regulatory developments, and ensures alignment with stakeholders and Group Legal & Regulatory Affairs while supporting compliant business operations and external engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, oversee, and ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual frameworks across all Specialized operations and strategic activities.
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, partners, regulators, and governmental entities to safeguard legal and commercial interests.
- Manage legal risk exposure by providing expert advisory on corporate, commercial, employment, and transactional matters, and recommending appropriate mitigation actions.
- Oversee dispute resolution, litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings, including coordination and management of external legal counsel.
- Conduct legal due diligence and provide structured advisory support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic investments.
- Monitor and analyze regulatory developments within the telecommunications and technology sectors, ensuring timely assessment of business impact and compliance readiness.
- Lead engagement with regulatory authorities and policy makers, including representation in consultations, official communications, filings, and institutional interactions.
- Ensure alignment with stc Group Legal & Regulatory Affairs and coordinate with internal Compliance teams to implement regulatory requirements and governance standards effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Law, Legal, Business Administration, or any related field.
Years of Experience:
- Preferred experience of (3-6) years, or equivalent in the area of expertise.
