Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for planning and optimizing Satellite Services Infrastructure to ensure capacity, resilience, performance, and alignment with business requirements. The role holder coordinates investment planning, network integration, regulatory compliance, engineering governance, and project delivery to ensure reliable and future-ready satellite services. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure.

 

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare the annual CAPEX for Satellite Services Infrastructure (GEO, MEO, and LEO)
  • Analyze Satellite Services Infrastructure plans to ensure transport, and optical network requirements are aligned.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders teams including WBU, CBU, EBU, Royal, STS, and Infra to assess voice and broadband project forecasts for Satellite services.
  • Review network capacity, utilization, and performance reports for Satellite to ensure adequate capacity and service readiness.
  • Optimize investments and drive the evolution of Satellite services infrastructure to improve network efficiency, resilience, and coverage.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the rollout roadmap for approved next-generation satellite technologies, ensuring alignment with business priorities and network transformation objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the Satellite Services Infrastructure strategy, including modernization, expansion, spectrum utilization, and technology evolution.
  • Monitor Satellite Services Infrastructure performance and availability, ensuring compliance with service KPIs and implementing optimization plans where required.

 

Job Responsibility (cont.)

  • Collaborate with regulatory and spectrum management teams to ensure the alignment and efficiency for Satellite Services Infrastructure planning, licensing, and utilization
  • Oversee the design of GEO/MEO/LEO satellite access and transport networks, including all integration requirements.
  • Integrate multi-orbit satellite systems seamlessly with terrestrial infrastructure.
  • Support partnerships, drive satellite network improvements, and ensure cross-functional technology alignment to achieve network security, scalability, and future readiness.
  • Review standards and ensure regulatory compliance for all satellite projects.
  • Coordinate space segment requirements with the related business demand and regulatory teams for satellite projects.
  • Ensure CST rules and regulatory requirements are incorporated into all satellite projects with the support of regulatory teams.
  • Develop and govern engineering improvement initiatives that enhance Core and Transport SoWs delivery, minimize PAT rejections, and strengthen data quality and engineering accuracy.
  • Maintain and Enhance Data Quality Health Index (DQHI) for CDE’s related to satellite ISOW Systems.
  • Implement DQG controls into Satellite ISOW Systems and maintain Data Quality enhancement requirements.
  • Solve & track Technology Performance critical cases that are pending with infra departments in coordination with concerned stakeholders.
  • End-to-End Tracking, Controlling, and Reporting functionalities for the integrated SOWs till PAT/HO to SEA
  • Unify the resiliency study to be similar and aligned with operations to avoid failure scenarios cases discovery after the deployment.
