Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for driving technical decisions, ensuring high-quality solution delivery, and mentoring the team, collaborating with stakeholders to align on requirements, resolve challenges, and maintain standards for consistent and impactful results. The role holder shall carry out their duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

Drives application architecture decisions by collaborating with the team to design scalable and robust solutions aligned with the organization’s technical strategy.

  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality programming code by developing clean, performant, and thoroughly tested solutions that meet technical and business needs.
  • Oversees product deployment and performance in production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal functionality.
  • Mentors and supports the technical team through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous feedback to enhance skills and team capabilities.
  • Identifies and resolves technical challenges by applying architectural design principles, selecting appropriate technologies, and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Partners with the Product Owner to align the squad’s roadmap with architectural strengths and future opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Defines goals and key performance indicators for members of the team and ensures effective application of the stc performance management process.
  • Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Squads’, in line with the business and operational plans.
  • Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Squads’.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Owners and Designers to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and effectively communicate trade-offs and design decisions.
  • Performs other responsibilities and tasks related to the job as directed by line manager

 

Years of Experience

A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Nature of Experience

Prior experience in Telecom industry, Agile and Project delivery methodologies.
